The National Weather Service in conjunction with Meade County, Emergency Management has determined that an EF-0 tornado with, maximum wind speeds of 75 mph briefly touched down just east of the, Breckinridge/Meade county line in Meade county. By Elias Loomis (1811-1889) Insulation was thrown from north to southeast. Damage in Roundhill and Reedyville may have been from straight-line winds or a separate small tornado. In the Alabama town of Cordova, Paula Hastings and her husband survived an April 27 twister by hiding in the basement of their stone-and-masonry home, which dates to the 1800s.
